Our Batteries
Industry leading, direct replacement, Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries!
In our wireless world, lithium ion batteries have now become a fixed part of everyday life. High power, low weight, minimum memory effect, zero maintenance and low self-discharge rates are just a few of the advantages of lithium battery technology.
The ‘LiFe’ in MEGALiFe batteries refers to the Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry used. LiFePO4 or LFP batteries retain all the regular benefits of lithium ion batteries but are significantly safer and are not prone to the overheating and explosive issues found in other chemistries (LIPO or lithium polymer chemistry found in mobile phones, RC cars, etc). This chemistry allows for charge/discharge rates up to 10x that of lead acid chemistry (including AGM, Gel, flooded, sealed, etc). Other benefits include full depth of discharge capability, 1/3 the weight and up to 5 times the cycle life of conventional lead acid.
MEGALiFe’s proprietary casing system that surpasses industry standard 10m drop test and 3m submersion testing (IPX8). A sealed, shock proof, waterproof, temperature resistant power source provides unlimited mounting options and direct replacement for thousands of applications.
But enough is never enough! MEGALiFe batteries have an integrated battery management system (IBMS) with unique features to add to the already superior performance. Overcharge voltage, short circuit, over discharge and over temperature internal protection circuits add to the already safe LiFePO4 chemistry. The IBMS also handles the industry leading ‘Emergency Starting’ reserve cell technology that allows MEGALiFe Battery to isolate the battery if flattened and restart the vehicle at the push of a button!
Here at MEGALiFe, we hold product compliance with EU RoHS Directive, TÜV Rheinland Certification of Germany, EU CE certification mark and certification in the US FCC. Safety, reliability and environmental friendly products that significantly outperform current battery technology.
With more than 50 different case sizes and terminal configurations, MEGA·LiFe has a battery for almost all cars, 4wd, motorbike, caravan, boat and racing applications. A 3-year manufacture full replacement warranty is just the icing on the cake!

IBMS - Integrate Battery Management System
IBMS - Integrated Battery Management System. We were determined to think out of the battery box! The custom designed IBMS operates constant checking on the key operational parameters during charging and discharging such as voltages and currents and the battery internal and ambient temperature. The monitoring circuits would normally provide inputs to protect devices which would generate alarms or disconnect the battery from the load or charger should any of the parameters become out of limits.
For the power or plant engineer responsible for standby power who's battery is the last line of defence against a power blackout or a telecommunications network outage IBMS means Integrate Battery Management Systems. Such systems encompass not only the monitoring and protection of the battery but also methods for keeping it ready to deliver full power when called upon and methods for prolonging its life. This includes everything from controlling the charging regime to planned maintenance.
For the automotive engineer the Integrate Battery Management System is a component of a much more complex fast acting Energy Management System and interface with other on board systems such as engine management, climate controls and safety systems.
High discharge characteristics
Lithium-ion batteries are common to be seen in household appliances. They are one of the most popular types of rechargeable batteries for portable electronics, with a high energy density, minimum memory effect and low self-discharge rate. LIB's (Lithium- Ion Batteries) are also growing in popularity for military, battery electric vehicle and aerospace applications. Lithium-ion batteries can pose unique safety hazards since they contain a flammable electrolyte and may be kept pressurized. If a battery cell is charged too quickly, it can cause a short circuit, leading to explosions and fires.
The lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, also called LFP battery, is a type of rechargeable battery, specifically a lithium-ion battery, which uses LiFePO4 as a cathode material, and a graphitic carbon electrode with a metallic current collector grid as the anode. LFP's major commercial advantages are that it poses few safety concerns such as overheating and explosion, as well as long cycle lifetimes, high power density and has a wider operating temperature range, LiFePO4 is finding a number of roles in vehicle use and backup power. The major differences between LFP batteries and ordinary lithium batteries are that LFP batteries do not have safety concerns such as overheating and explosion that they have 4 to 5 times longer cycle lifetimes than lithium batteries and 8 to 10 times higher discharge power.
At present, lithium iron phosphate batteries in the automotive, motorcycle, heavy vehicles, off-road equipment, racing cars was rapidly increase the use of to improve charge / discharge performance, reduce weight, volume saving, extend the service life and to avoid lead-acid batteries for the environment of the pollution, to prove that the future of traditional lead-acid batteries will eventually being replaced by the lithium iron phosphate batteries. Mega-Life LiFePO4 batteries are not only the perfect solution to provide the highest performance, efficiency and service life of batteries used in automobiles, motorcycles and race cars, but also comply with EU RoHS Directive, TÜV Rheinland Certification of Germany, EU CE certification mark, the United States Federal Communications Commission FCC certification, to provide the best performance and quality assurance.
